In the city of Lawa, with a population of one hundred fifty thousand (150,000) people and approximately fifty thousand (50,000) more in neighboring small villages, there exists a critical gap in healthcare. Neither the area nor neighboring cities boast a proper hospital providing basic medical care or specialized OB/GYN and pediatric care.
Recognizing this acute deficiency, the Murad Manzoor Foundation has undertaken the substantial task of planning and establishing a hospital. This facility will not only address basic medical needs but also offer advanced medical treatments. Poignantly, these services will be provided at no cost to the impoverished, underscoring the foundation's commitment to community health and well-being.

Our vision is to establish a leading-edge healthcare facility for women and children, offering comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for all patients in the region, regardless of their financial capacity. More than a medical institution, we aspire to be an integral part of our city's development in Pakistan, not only advancing healthcare standards but also stimulating economic growth by creating job opportunities for the local community.
History
The Murad Manzoor Hospital Lawa (MMHL) was established by Mr. Bashir Awan, President of Yukon IT Consultants Inc., following the death of his parents. Balancing his responsibilities as the head of a global enterprise, Mr. Awan currently resides in both the USA and Canada, where he oversees his business operations. The formation of the foundation is a reflection of his personal commitment to honoring his family's legacy while continuing to drive success and innovation in his professional endeavors.
Both of his parents, Father Manzoor Ul Haq and Mother Murad Khatoon, passed away in Lawa due to natural causes, marking the end of significant chapters in their family's history. Manzoor Ul Haq departed at the age of 90 in 2018, leaving behind a legacy of wisdom and strength, while Murad Khatoon died at the age of 70 in 2019, her nurturing presence and enduring love deeply missed by all. Their demise represented a profound loss to their son, his siblings, and the entire family, leaving a void that resonated deeply within the family structure. The wisdom and values they imparted continue to guide the family, but their physical absence has necessitated a painful process of adjustment. Gatherings, special occasions, and even everyday life are imbued with a sense of their memory, their teachings living on in the hearts and minds of those they left behind. The loss, although inevitable, serves as a poignant reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing family bonds, a lesson that continues to shape the family's journey forward.
Recognizing the dearth of medical facilities in the town of Lawa, particularly for women and children, Mr. Bashir Awan made a conscious decision to address this gap. He established an OB/GYN and Pediatric Centre (Hospital) in Lawa, with the goal of not only providing essential healthcare services to the community but also playing an active role in medical research and development. This endeavor demonstrates his dedication to enhancing the well-being of the community and his commitment to fostering innovation in healthcare.
Mission
Our mission is to set the standard in patient care for midwifery, obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics by adopting innovative, state-of-the-art therapeutic methods. We are committed to reducing patient suffering, providing curative care, all while upholding the principle of accessible healthcare without any financial obligation.
Location
The Murad Manzoor Foundation has recently secured a 9 Kanal 1 Marla land parcel in the city of Lawa, Tala Gang district of Punjab. This initiative sets the stage for the foundation's plans to construct a hospital specializing in obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics, which will substantially contribute to the medical needs of the local city and its surrounding villages.
